TERRELL COUNTY 4-H NEWS

The Terrell County 4-H Club is gearing up for their 2nd Annual Auction scheduled for this Saturday at Legion Park. The sale is the main fundraiser of the year for the club and it grossed over $34,000 last year.

“We are expecting to surpass last year’s totals on the auction,” County Extension Agent Mark Carroll said. “We have more large items such as cars, trucks, trailers and equipment.”

Many of the cars are drug-seizure cars sold from the Terrell County Sheriff’s office. They are also numerous consignments from the local residents, the county road & bridge department and the school district.

Carroll said the proceeds from the sale will used to send 4-Hers to camp and other educational project activities.

“We are looking forward to the community coming out to support our club at the sale this Saturday,” Carroll said. “

The club will be taking in consignment items from 9 am to 5 pm this Thursday and will continue excepting items from 9 am until 12 pm on Friday. The sale will begin at 10 am on Saturday and a concession stand will be available for food and drinks.

for the auction

Do I hear? Auctioneer Kenn Norris did his “thing” last year. He’ll be back at the megaphone again this year, bringing lots of revenue to support 4-H activities – and giving bidders a chance at real savings.
